The standard version uses peony beads, while the deluxe version has paracord beads. There is a trade off for both types. The standard is more compact. While the deluxe version is slightly bulkier it is less likely to make any noise from contact with your gear while trying to maintain stealth. The paracord beads are also much more durable and won't become brittle like the plastic peony beads. Both types are on a buckle with a small blade, whistle, compass and ferro rod. They have a barrel connector to easily attach to your pack or first line gear.
